Hello all,

I was sent here by someone from twitter (I thank that person)

I am almost 27 and have struggled with issues that seem to fit either Aspergers, or SPD or both. I am trying to find a local doctor to help with a diagnosis on this.

I have for many years believed this was the issue, and when I first found out about aspergers it turns out my whole family already thought I had it they just never said anything..I have all the typical issues with sounds (that drive me wacky) sensations (I hate clothes and especially seam & static) and a great fear of other people. I really never learned to overcome my fear of people, and talking on the phone. So I am now working on that issue.

So anyway, I live in Colorado and if you know of any doctors in southern colorado feel free to let me know

I wish I could recommend a good diagnostician for you in your area, but unfortunately even still they seem to be few and far between.

SPD = Sensory Processing Disorder?

I also have trouble with phones. Yesterday I rang someone about funding so I can go to a conference. They said, "Oh just ring such and such and these other people. Oh and this person may be able to help you too. So ring them." Do you think I have? No. It took me ages just to work up the courage to ring the first person! I said I would think about it. I am still thinking... Yeah, phones are not my friend. So I get what you mean.
