Mary and Max

Postby Civet on Wed Jul 14, 2010 1:09 am

This is a claymation animation about a penpal friendship between a "misfit" girl from Australia and a man with Asperger's from NYC. It follows their relationship for more than 20 years as the girl grows up and the man grows old. It's both funny and very sad. I think it also offers a good look at Asperger's that would be very easy to understand for most people.

It was quite good. It's on Netflix streaming, for those who have that service. The director/animator has also made an animation about a man with tourette's that I will probably watch soon, too.

I don't have Netflix, though.

Hm, maybe you can find it to download somewhere? I can try to find a torrent to link you to if you like.
