Sad to say, I got no further than DS :(

Tonight however I will be calling the premiere customer line to complain. As I told the girl in the store, if at 45 days his phone starts hitting the wrong keys, I'm not going to have them act like they never saw it coming.

I'm usually very good at getting what I think is reasonable - perhaps bc of my time in call centers also...LOL

A gang of 'kids' came down the road the other night (so teens/young adults, really) and broke the wing-mirrors off of a lot of cars, including my mum's car (and they attempted to break the mirror off of a van my dad was using for work, but failed - I suppose it must have been moved, which is how my dad knows they attempted it). R actually noticed police outside arresting a bunch of them, but we didn't realise what they'd done (assuming it was connected!). The damage to my mum's car is pretty bad, and needs part of the door replaced as well as the mirror itself, because of how they ripped it out. The annoying thing is that it seems that they mostly stuck to the opposite side of the road, and my mum was only parked over that side because the people from the local car place keep parking outside our house because the parking at their workplace is for customers (despite many complaints by my mum). However, I can't say for certain that the car would have been left had it been on our side of the road (the van was on our side).

So, we've been waiting for a few days now for the car place to contact the insurance with some details, and to get the car fixed, and a courtesy car to tide us over until the car is ready. My mum phoned up today, and was told that they'd decided that the damage wasn't bad enough to warrant a courtesy car, and that they'd not be getting the parts in for a few days, so we could keep our car until then. My mum asked about driving around without a wing-mirror and he said that it's perfectly legal.

My brother was certain that wasn't the case and checked on the internet, and my mum was certain it wasn't and phoned the police. Obviously, it's not legal, as it's very dangerous. You get fined if the police stop you, and obviously you could have an accident!

So, my mum went round there to talk to them and complain and outright called the guy a liar.

My mum's quite terrifying at times, so I didn't envy them her storming around there in a rage.

I don't blame her for being mad. Hopefully she can get a loaner car soon, getting a ticket or in a wreck would be awful...

Random randomness:
I've just read where hospitals in the UK will be getting new gowns - they snap down the side keeping patients privates private.

I'm just dreaming of the day when they come in a full-figure size ;))

While the wing-mirror was broke they just didn't use the car, but it's been fixed now.

Although, when my brother went there this morning, to pick it up, when it should have been fixed, it hadn't been done, and then then my mum went there after work to pick it up and was told, "Your son picked it up this morning." Er, no he didn't! We have the car back, now, though.

Lol, can't believe they lost track of who had your car so easily! If they were going on the assumption that your brother already had the car, I wonder who's car they thought they still had

Related to the above.... .99999999999999 (and so on) is equal to 1.

Don't believe me?

What's 1/9 in decimal form? What's 1/9 * 9?

No, they're not. It's fictional and satirical. However, I do wonder how many people who have joined up have done so because they genuinely believe in the content, as I think we are all well aware of just how messed up some people's views can be. I originally did think this was all genuine stuff, even when it seemed too far fetched to be true (the labels under people's usernames, and their little icons under their usernames, too, for example), but reasoned that much crazier things go on in the world, so why not? However, if you google it, you find that it's all been made up.

I was nearly taken in the other night while searching for a new isp. Google pulled up as having a free one - Google Tisp. In my defense it was late at night, but it took me a few minutes to figure out it was fake.

Thanks, Benji. I was outraged because I was taking them seriously.

There is at least one song in the Broadway production of Chicago that wasn't included in the movie. (It's called Class and after listening to the lyrics I can kinda understand why. There's far too many things that can, um, rhyme with "class". )

Last night my dachshund got the soft lumps, two on top of her head and one right above her eye. This morning she had a swollen left side of her face, a huge swollen lump on the right side, and a lump above her nose.

The vet said it was probably from an irritant or allergy. By noon most of the swelling was gone, and she never did act sick at all.

DH happened to find a fast food cup full of something gooey in our backyard, which had to have been thrown over our 7 foot fence. Ugh...
