Chihuahua's are known for being high strung, yippy little dogs. We had one once, he tried to run away at every chance (we got him at the pound, go figure...).

Little Gidget, the Taco Bell dog, benefitted from excellent doggie training I'm sure.

I prefer bigger breeds of dog, but for some reason have become quite taken with the idea of having a black and tan chihuahua called Pedro one day...

A schoolfriend I knew had a chihuahua. She was lovely - acted like a 'normal' dog, if that makes sense? Before meeting her, the only chihuahuas I had known had been the kind you see being held by their owner (as if they don't have their own legs and are incapable of walking for themselves) and quivering (one attempted to attack my brother from owner's arms!). But Pixie - she bounded about like she thought she was a bigger dog and would jump up to rest her head on your lap (and rested one of her boggly eyeballs on my hand, once - yes, her eyeball was touching my hand!). She was a lovely dog, though. Very outgoing and friendly.

Ahh, legally blonde. For some reason, I actually watched that movie on TV, despite having seen it advertised, and very surprisingly I liked it. Very weird. I think the reason I liked it is that she dealt with things so well and didn't care what others thought when it didn't matter - like when she goes to the "fancy dress" party - she dresses up because they told her it was fancy dress, but it wasn't - she gets angry at being made fun of, but not embarrassed, and then goes to the computer shop still in her costume (was it a play boy bunny outfit?) because she wanted to buy a computer. Most people would get changed first, but no, she wants to buy a computer so she goes and does so. Despite seeming like she would be highly strung, she doesn't get stressed out about stuff - oh how wonderful to not get stressed and anxious about everything!

Yes, it was a playboy bunny costume she wore to the party and to the computer store. I liked Legally Blonde too. I guess I identified with Elle in that people see an attractive blonde with big breasts and prejudge her as an airhead and refuse to take her seriously.

never saw legally blonde, but I have been around a chihuahua for over a year. quivers, yappy little thing, growled at me for the first three months, even at my place. barks at the door if anything is going on outside. growls and bites at men, and babies. ok with older children. doesn't like other dogs. has this cute trick of lifting up a paw and limping if she wants to be picked up. will quiver on command, or when she wants something. is totally terrified of the word bath and the word bugs. (She had a bad flea infestation at one time)

I think I still have one of those talking chihuahua toys around somewhere. 'Course the battery ran out so it doesn't talk anymore.
