You may want to search back to some of the November posts. :)

I think he's one of the best people we could have had for president at this time. I'm not a big fan of his education policies, but am otherwise happy for the most part. I think he's walking a tightrope right now and doing pretty well considering.

UK... I feel passive about Obama. I felt highly negative about Shrubby George.

Ditto.... Although I will add there is hope that he could be the one to repair the ties with the world which his predecessor destroyed.

King George II you mean. ;)

Generally speaking, and keeping in mind the down-and-dirty of politics that's virtually impossible to get away from, I'm very pleased with Obama. I definitely voted for him and was thrilled that he won. I really think that he'll help make some changes to this country (and to our relationship with the world community) that will leave a positive mark on our citizenry.

I missed his speech today about the whole Gitmo issue unfortunately.

He was OK (a bit misunderstood because they thought he was mad)... its just that a bunch of tea-drinking colonists took the slightest of fallings-out to mount rebellion  And then made war on each other after they won their independance

By Shrubby, I mean that leader who blew thousands of people up in the name of fighting a war against terrorism... not to mention his failed attempts to convince the world that torture meant something else...

So you didn't "perhaps voted for him, but not quite sure of what I marked on the ballot" or close your eyes and take a random prod without looking at the result.

That's right: Shrubby. Mad ol' King George II. We had our own too. (Pssssstt... that's the joke. A comment on dictatorship, etc.)

W = American version Mad King George II ;)

The world is a much smaller place today. Policies Obama puts in place could very well positively (or negatively) affect your country. We're in a global economy.

That said, I saw a cool bumper sticker yesterday.

At first all I could see was "1/20/09", and the date didn't jump out at me, my first thought was it was one of those religious groups calling for the end of the world - we have more than our fair share out here.

However, as we passed the vehicle I could read the rest:
1/20/09
The End of an Error

  It's a darn good thing I wasn't driving!

I just wish THEY were the ones reproducing... LOL

The democratic party here in Lubbock County can barely get enough people together at one time to throw a game of dodgeball..... :sob:
