I know how frustrating it is to feel fine when you finally get your appt, but the cardiologist can see if there are any underlying problems that could make this ectopic beat a problem. It can be very benign, but it can be deadly.
The great thing is a simple pill a day can protect you if it is a problem.
I know what happens when you let things go because they aren't a problem today. Don't do that, please

I will call on Monday.
renaeden wrote:I didn't call on Monday, I couldn't work up the courage. I did call today, though, and I had to make a total of four calls.Just to get the right number because the number on the referral letter was wrong. I nearly gave up on this.
So I have made the appointment and it is on the 21st of this month. $179 but I get most of it back because I am on a disability pension. The GP I go to is free because I am on the pension and the medical centre does bulk billing through Medicare. Australia's health system is a good one.
So my appointment is booked. Phew.

renaeden wrote:I guess to get seen sooner I would have to go to the ED. I think the 23rd (I wrote 21st but it isn't) is pretty soon given it's a specialist I am going to.
The irregular heart beats are happening again so now I feel I have good reason to go.
