I'm on my brother's new Acer laptop. I think I might want one! I'm due a new 'un (mine's quite old now and can't stand to be unplugged for more than about five minutes before it dies, and the screen goes a funny colour at certain angles (the most comfy angles, of course).

It's the easter hols here. Haven't achieved very much so far, but will hopefully do some fun things before returning to school/work.

It seems computers live shorter and shorter lives. I got my first computer in 1991. It has a 40 meg hard drive, so it is extraordinarily obsolete. Yet it still works fine, my mother plays solitaire on it, as well as ocassionally typing a letter on the Lotus word processor (which she prints on a dot matrix printer).

Thinking about taking the kids to Catholic church for Palm Sunday.

Elliot is sick. He's been throwing up all night. Right now I'm laying in bed nursing him back to sleep. On the bright side, I have a great excuse to not work tonight. Sad that it takes my son getting sick for me not to work. I really need to slow down soon. I'm looking for opportunities at work to move things off my plate.

I hope he feels better soon Adhoc! Maybe this is a good chance for you to decelerate a bit, relax and enjoy your family. I know I didn't until I was forced to - thankfully it wasn't too late.

I really hope that Elliot gets better :/ I cannot imagine the pain that the illness of a son might give.

I've been writing my senior dissertation through this month, which is an absolute pain. Has anyone else had to write a culminating paper for a college course? They recently admitted that they care only about correct formatting, and pay little attention to the content. That really hurt, considering all the work I've put into it.

Thanks guys. Seems he's over the worst of it, but refused solid foods all day long. Hopefully tomorrow we can get back to our normal eating patterns.

Bandeon - that's very disheartening. I'm sorry that you've done all that work for seemingly nothing.

Bandeon - I had to do a senior dissertation. It took months to put together and I was very proud of my work. Unfortunately my topic was worker's compensation and several of the professors who were grading me knew little about the subject.

I wound up getting an "A", but watching my classmates' dissertations (we were required to attend) I realized I went way over the top on mine!

Ah, you actually had to speak for your dissertation? I suppose that mine only uses the term, as we only submit it in writing. Do you mind if I asked how long yours had to be?

It was an hour. I also had to have hand-outs and also have exhibits. My dad took pics of it all, wish I had them :/

As of April 1, Pepsico is no longer distributing Pepsi One o the state of Texas.

My stash is about to run out. I cannot be responsible for my behavior once it is gone...

I would be devastated if they did that here with Coke Zero. I really would!

Dissertations sound hard. I wonder how they do them here in Australia.

For undergrad we had no official thesis, but we had a seminar with paper and presentation. Seemed like a regular class though.

Of course for my PhD I have a dissertation. Lots of work. Probably about three years of labwork, committee meetings, presentations, a 150 page dissertation, and a dissertation defense (50 minute presentation on the work).
