Had one of those elusive "good days" today - the kind where despite it all I feel like a regular person. Did some prep work for dinner (slicing tomatoes, etc), manned the bbq for dinner (all without supplemental 02). We ate on the covered patio, I went out front and checked out the flowers and plants and general state of things. I even watered the front gardens.

Heading in the house I thought hmm, maybe those docs were wrong and I'm getting better. Then, walking the 20 feet down the hall to the bedroom - reality check - I nearly pass out

Another illusion vaporized.... Ahh well, it was fun while it lasted. Now of course I'll pay dearly. If I can manage a shower in the morning it'll be amazing. Worth every minute though. Had fun with the kids. Lately DS has been "clingy" as I've been feeling terrible. He works tomorrow so hopefully this will losen him up. He shouldn't worry at his young age.

Glad you had some good things to hang onto - reality can be a real pain in the a***

Thx ;)

Busy week! Last night was hubby's night off. DS had gone to the bathroom, suddenly we heard a crash and DS crying out. DH went running, I'm still not 100% clear on how it happened, but DS fell and really hurt his left knee. He was in tears but adamantly refused to go to the hospital. I had him raise and ice it, and it really didn't swell too badly.

He got up this morning and insisted he was fine to go to work. He was limping but refused help from my vast array of medical supplies (crutches, canes, even a kneww brace!). He'll be home soon, see how his day went. If he's still in pain tomorrow I'll have to drag him to a doc. Alttho the fear of not being able to march next week may help!

Working on a brand new website for the Autism Community.... hope to make it public in a few days. I think it will be very resourceful.

Also we have a oil spill here locally, its quite a large incident causing us to go in a state of emergency

I had a good several days recently as a friend from GA came to visit here. I took him to some places nearby, including the zoo (he had never been to a zoo before!) and the RISD museum. We also went to see Inception with some other friends, which I thought was quite good. Another friend from NH also came to pick him up and I spent some time with both of them and we watched Kickass (my friend's favorite movie, now) and made cookies, and that was also fun :)

I am very confused about the situation with DH's job.

A new company won the bid for the job, the contract to do all the floors at the United's. The new company is huge, in 50 countries, etc.

What seems to be happening is the new company is just going to leave everyone from the old contract in place. This is a good news/bad news situation. It means hubby definitely keeps his job, but he's still basically working under the same morons who refused to do the job right in the first place.

Suddently theres a push to strip and wax at his store. But the guy who comes to help him do this (it takes a lot of time and the rest of the store has to be cleaned) shows up late, leaves early, and doesn''t bring the equipment necessary to do it properly.

This is the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Going to South Street today. Daughter and SIL and kids are taking me for my birthday. My daughter and I will visit artist Isaiah Zagar's place, the Magic Gardens. http://www.phillymagicgardens.org/isaiah/about Then they want me to pick out a gift at a boutique that my daughter loves. I will probably get a pair of earrings. I'm very up for this experience and think we will have a great time.
I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now. Dylan
